We need a better rule book
Fake news, anonymous ads and micro-targeting are all part and parcel of political campaigning on social media. Traditional media needs to be balanced and transparent; now there are calls for similar controls online. Lisa-Maria Neudert of the Oxford Internet Institute explains why social media companies are struggling with self-regulation.
