Music and Memories: Voices of Belfast
Music is known to have multiple benefits, it improves memory, reduces stress and brings people together. Musicians Peter J McCauley and Owen Denvir, have been performing for residents in care homes in East and West Belfast over the past two years, playing music and sharing experiences. This led to the idea of ‘Music & Memories: Voices Of Belfast’ where they recorded residents' party pieces and produced them into modern/experimental works. Roisin McNickle caught up with Peter and Owen to find out more about the project.
