Hashim Amla's former international team-mates Ashwell Prince, Vernon Philander and Zubayr Hamza have paid tribute to South Africa's second highest run scorer of all time, following his retirement from all forms of International cricket.

After making a slow start to his international career in 2004, Amla went on to become one of only five batsmen to register 25 centuries in both Test and ODI cricket along with setting several more South African records.

During his 15-year international career, the 36-year-old blazed a trail for cricketers who were denied the opportunity to represent their country during the Apartheid era.
