Long-lost relatives now reunited
Jean Kapenda is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and he had always hoped to help African Americans find their African roots. That dream came true in a very personal way when he met Aiyana Lakes her son, Terrian, and her mother, Audray Spencer. A few years ago, Kapenda did an online DNA test and after getting the results, he was able to trace hundreds of relatives in the Americas. Now Kapenda has been able to tell Lakes and her family about where their African ancestry.
