TV drama highlights dangers of environmental activism in Brazil
A new TV series Aruanas focuses on environmental journalists and activists in Brazil vast, forested interior, where 57 environmental defenders were killed in 2017. Estela Renner is the creator and director of the show and Marcelo Furtado is former executive director of Greenpeace in Brazil and was an advisor to Estela in the making of Artuanas.
