Cornwall, My Story: War Baby
Imagine trying to trace your father across more than 40 American states - writing hundreds of letters on a mission to complete your life story?
74 year old Sally Coot's mother met her American GI father when he was based in Cornwall during World War 2 - but ahead of D-Day, her dad headed for the Normandy beaches without looking back.
Sally's been sharing her memories of her life as a war baby with our reporter Hannah Stacey as part of our 'Cornwall, My Story' series.
