'I was abused by a Catholic priest, and went on to confront the Pope about it'

Marie Collins was abused by a Catholic priest when she was 12. She's gone on to campaign for victims in the Catholic Church, and has taken Pope Francis to task about it when he visited Ireland in 2018. She was on The Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors but resigned in 2017. This week, Pope Francis will host a first-of-its-kind meeting in Rome. It’s with the presidents of the Episcopal Conferences of the Catholic Church on "protecting minors". Over a hundred senior bishops will attend, including some from the USA, who were prevented last year by Pope Francis from instituting their own action-plan to tackle abuse. Marie spoke to Jane Garvey on Woman's Hour about what she wants to see at the conference.
