From the Archives - Mary Peters
If you've been with us over the past few weeks, you'll know that we've rediscovered a whole host of interviews with some of the biggest names in sport from the early days of Sportscene.
They'd been sitting in a cardboard box in Richard Collinson's attic - dusty and untouched for more than two decades.
But now, we've restored them - and every so often, we'll be sharing them with you as a way of remembering some of the amazing people we've spoken to for the programme over the years.
Today, we're going to hear what happened when Rich spoke with Mary Peters - the Northern Irish pentathlete who won gold at the 1972 Olympics in Munich. But, as she explains to Rich, those Games are mainly remembered for the awful massacre of eleven Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists inside the Olympic village.
Here are Mary's memories of how she first heard that terrible news.
