Politics Live spoke to Clare, Chloe and Ken about becoming financially independent.
Ken is financially independent. Along with his wife, he keeps an eye on costs so that they can choose to work or choose to take a year off work.
Clare and Chloe pay themselves first and are super savers to allow them to become financially independent in there 40s. Chloe says it's not a case of cutting anything out, but of cutting down on non-essentials.
