Why are there so few women leading universities?
Cecilia Paredes Verduga is the first female Rector of the highest-ranking public university in Ecuador, ESPOL (Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral). Cecilia reflects on why although many university courses have equal numbers of male and female students, only a handful of women ever rise to become leaders of academic institutions.
