Rail Fare Rises: It's a 'kick in the teeth' to passengers
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has described a rise in rail fares as a "kick in the teeth" for passengers.
He told Radio 4's World at One that services have been getting worse.
"One in three trains were late getting into Manchester in the last fortnight," he said.
Mr Burnham added that in his experience train companies have no "accountability to the travelling public".
