1 鈥� Don鈥檛 confuse your creative self and your editorial self 鈥� don鈥檛 question yourself when working on an idea. Keep the editor out of the room until it is time to criticize yourself

2 鈥� It is important to get your head straight around your work 鈥� your writing must be your main job

3 鈥� Please, don鈥檛 take it all so seriously. There鈥檚 too many words and books and it鈥檒l all be forgotten in 10,000 years and this helps to put everything in perspective sometimes.
