Lucy and Clare - Pulling Together
Lucy and Clare are both double bassists and have known each other over 25 years. Both were musical children and were drawn to that instrument at secondary school. They have always worked as musicians - something Lucy said she never believed was possible. Clare was the UK's first female double bass principal in 1978 and Lucy, 7 years younger, has always seen Clare as a role model as well as a friend. Clare retired last year.
