PSNI: 'Regrettable that people act to light what is clearly a dangerous bonfire'
Over 200 police in riot gear lined the streets near Bloomfield Walkway in east Belfast on Wednesday morning, after a huge bonfire was set alight prematurely. It followed a High Court order that the bonfire be reduced to three metres in height. Bonfires are traditionally lit in many loyalist areas of Northern Ireland on the Eleventh Night - the eve of the Twelfth of July.
