Highlights: The Linton Festival nr Ross
Ìý
The event began when some of the regulars of The Alma Inn realised it would be cheaper to get The Producers to come to Linton, rather than hire a mini bus and drive all the way to Poole in Dorset.
Ìý
Then they decided rather than having one band - they'd have loads!
Ìý
Big Country headlined this year's event.

Musicians' Masterclass
Ìý
Held across three days, Amplify offered exclusive access to the UK music industry’s biggest names through intimate talks, music masterclasses and recording workshops.
Ìý
This week, we talk about getting your music onto national radio withÌý, whoÌýpresents her new music show Monday to Thursday from 7pm on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 1, assisted by Jacob Rickard - who used to present THIS show over on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Kent.
Ìý
Monthly roadshows
Ìý
Since the beginning of 2011, we've taken our ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing show out on-the-road to various areas across our patch.
Ìý
Every month, we rock up at a different venue with a pile of microphones, cables and recording equipment along with several vans full of enthusiastic musicians!
Ìý
As well as the bands being able to invite an audience, we also bring along a number of music industry professionals to comment on the live acts.
Ìý
We tend to host our sessions on evenings/weekends is because it's normally a quiet time for venues - so effectively you get a free gig curated with the best bands (from the thousands who have submitted their music to us), full tech provided, plusÌýÌý- so effectively you just need to open your doors!
