Sing & Tonic

Sing & Tonic
They've been through the most horrific of experiences but have been brought together by a shared love of music.

Sing and Tonic is a choir made up of people affected by cancer - and their work is booming in popularity, with workshops now in Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Worcester.

Supported by MacMillan, the group is having incredible success with听health, wellbeing, happiness and confidence.

Upton Jazz Festival

Upton Jazz Festival

The 33rd Upton Jazz Festival was another rip roaring success this year with thousands of people attending the riverside town in the blazing sunshine.

This year, the event was stripped back somewhat because of a lack of volunteers.听Instead, organisers improved the camping, offered a bigger choice of stalls, food and drink.

One of the most talked about venues was under the river bridge, which was transformed into a gig venue for the weekend.

Upton Ukulele Festival

Upton Ukulele Festival
Taking place the weekend before was the Upton Ukulele Festival, which has relocated from Cheltenham.

Organisers fell in love with the festival site - and despite there only being hundreds attending their inaugural year in Upton - they're expecting thousands to now descend on the riverside town having discovered its beauty.

Musicians' Masterclass

Musicians' Masterclass
It was the biggest new music business gathering to ever to be held in the UK, with more than 100 sessions and 250 speakers ensuring every aspect of the music business was covered.

Held across three days, Amplify offered exclusive access to the UK music industry鈥檚 biggest names through intimate talks, music masterclasses and recording workshops.

This week, we hear top tips from Britain's best-selling jazz artist of all time - Jamie Cullum - who gives us a lesson on the ivories!

Monthly roadshows

Monthly roadshows
If you run a venue or you鈥檙e a music promoter, then we want to hear from you!

Since the beginning of 2011, we've taken our 成人快手 Introducing show out on-the-road to various areas across our patch to bring people a flavour of the local music scene.

Every month, we rock up at a different venue with a pile of microphones, cables and recording equipment along with several vans full of enthusiastic musicians!

As well as the bands being able to invite an audience, we also bring along a number of music industry professionals to comment on the live acts.

We tend to host our sessions on evenings/weekends is because it's normally a quiet time for venues - so effectively you get a free gig curated with the best bands (from the thousands who have submitted their music to us), full tech provided, plus听听- so effectively you just need to open your doors!
