It was a contest that took six days to complete - but at the end, the two top teams crews were separated by just six seconds.
Fortunately, it was Jersey's Phil Sharp who came out on top in the Normandy Channel Race - beating his French rivals to claim the title alongside his crew-mate Julien Pulve.
Our Sport Producer Jack Murley has been to the marina in St Helier to talk to Phil about the result, his love of sailing, and his plans for the future.
