Pete and Tricia - Remembering Jon
Pete and Tricia were teenage sweethearts whose first child Jon was born in 1980, five years after they married. When he was just over a month old they took him to hospital, concerned he wasn't well. The next morning Jon died, aged 34 days. Although told it wouldn't be a good idea to try for another, Jon's sister was born exactly 11 months later, and was followed by another sister born 3 years later, and a brother 5 years after that. Pete is now retired and Tricia works as an invigilator for the open university. Their chief reason for recording their full conversation was the fear that after they die, no one will remember Jon. They share their memories of Jon and discuss how, in his short life, he has influenced them and their family.
