Listen back to Arsene Wenger's first ever interview with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ after being appointed Arsenal manager in 1996.
Eleanor Oldroyd spoke to the Frenchman after he was unveiled The Gunners' new manager.
Wenger said: "Arsenal is a serious club, with strong history and a big ambition.
"I think the Premier League pushed the level of the English clubs higher, and that's what's attracted me."
Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, ending a near 22-year reign as manager.
He departs a year before his latest contract was due to expire.
Whilst at Arsenal, Wenger has won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, including the Double in 1998 and 2002.
