Lemmy, Phil and Fast Eddie Clare talking back in 1982 to Tommy Vance on 成人快手 Radio 1
Following the sad news of the passing of Motorhead's most famous guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke who died at age 67, we've had a look around the 成人快手 archives and found this gem - the three original members Lemmy, Phil and Fast Eddie talking back in 1982 to Tommy Vance on Radio 1 about confusion over their image...
Eddie was the last surviving member of the classic Motorhead line up - following on from the deaths of 'Lemmy' and Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor.
Clarke was introduced to Lemmy by Taylor in the mid-70s and he joined Motorhead in 1976 and played on Motorhead's self-titled 1977 debut album and also played on 1979's Overkill and Bomber, 1980's Ace Of Spades and 1982's Iron Fist - for many people he WAS the band's defining axe man.
He left Motorhead while and went on to form the band Fastway with former UFO bassist Pete Way.
A message on the band's official Facebook page said: "We are devastated to pass on the news we only just heard ourselves earlier tonight...Edward Allan Clarke - or as we all know and love him Fast Eddie Clarke - passed away peacefully yesterday.
Phil Campbell who also player guitatr with the band said: "Just heard the sad news that Fast Eddie Clarke has passed away. He will be remembered for his iconic riffs and was a true rock and roller, RIP Eddie."
The band's ex-drummer Mikkey Dee added: "This is terrible news, the last of the three amigos."
