Fawad Ahmed: How one ball changed my life

In 2010, a bright young Pakistani cricketer fled his troubled homeland to seek asylum in Australia.

Fawad Ahmed had been persecuted and threatened by religious extremists for working with an organisation aiming to help educate women.

Two years after moving Down Under, Ahmed was granted permanent residency.

Now, he's part of the fabric of Australian cricket, one of the country's most influential spinners and a key player for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash.

Ahmed has been sharing his remarkable story with Stumped reporter Sam Sheringham.
