Edgar Wright's full conversation with Lauren
The writer, director and double Grammy nominee returns to 6 Music to talk about the "action movie synesthesia" that was triggered by the The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
Edgar shares some favourite tunes, some from the 700-strong playlist of "Baby Maybes" that he had to whittle down when writing the screenplay for Baby Driver. And talks about the unique scenes that were eventually brought to the big screen by bringing a music video choreographer together with a veteran stunt team.
Edgar also reflects on his very early start in the film and TV industry, including a recent experience re-watching his feature-length debut (1995's A Fistful Of Fingers) in order to record the Director's DVD commentary.
We're also happy to report that we haven't "lost" Edgar to Hollywood and he can still get star struck, as when he met the original C-3PO, Anthony Daniels, when filming a two second cameo for Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
