When Australia got a glimpse of the Ashes urn

Australia may be on course to regain the Ashes but if they are expecting to get their hands on the famous Ashes urn they can think again.

The original urn, gifted to touring England captain Ivo Bligh by a group of Melbourne women in 1882, resides permanently in the museum at Lord's in London.

The 10 centimeter-tall ceramic trophy, which is said to contain the burnt remains of a set of bails, has only left Lord's on three occasions, the most recent being in during the 2006-07 Ashes tour when it was taken on a tour of Australian cities.

MCC museum curator Adam Chadwick relives the pressure of accompanying one of sport's most symbolic trophies on its travels.
