Restoration Of Painting
Back in July 2016, Anthony Isaacs visited St. Andrew's Church in Trowse to see a very sad painting in a great state of disrepair. It was dull, covered in varnish and dirt and the top part was hanging out of its frame.
The trio of Debbie, Stuart and Jim from the church got together and decided that funds needed to be raised and the painting by John Theodore Heins Senior which he completed in 1710 needed to be restored to its former glory.
Well, just over a year later and with some incredible work by a Norfolk restorers, Kiffy Stainer-Hutchins and Co - the painting has been put back on the wall of the church - and Anthony was invited along to the dedication and to see the amazing transformation.
