What happens to a fishing community when the fish runs out?

Petty Harbour Maddox Cove is a town who relied on fishing. As the fisheries expanded and the abundance of fish attracted huge trawlers from other parts of the world, one of the greatest ecological disasters of the 20th century struck. In 1992, the cod stocks collapsed from overfishing, leaving no fish and no livelihood for the townspeople.

Only now 25 years later are the fish starting to return, but many of the fishing folk have gone. On the harbour in this small town Kimberley Oreen runs a project called Fishing for Success to teach traditional fishing ways to young people.
