The War On Drugs (on coffee), Angelo De Augstine & Friday Film Club

Adam Granduciel talks about his quest for coffee on tour with The War On Drugs. Angelo De Augustine talks about recording in the bathroom. And Chris Hewitt reviews Paddington 2.

On Monday we were joined by 24 year old Californian Angelo De Augustine. He shared stories of his musical mother – who sang with Aretha Franklin – and remembers recording new album, Swim Inside the Moon, in the bath.

Chris Hewitt reviews this week’s film releases, including Justice League, and Lauren's film of the year Paddington 2.

But we start with The War On Drugs, who joined us live in session on Wednesday playing tracks from new album, A Deeper Understanding. For band leader Adam Granduciel, the quest for a good (single origin!) cup of coffee is an important one.
