India Club - fighting for survival

The India Club restaurant was opened in the 1940s by Krishna Menon, the India's first High Commissioner to the UK. It rapidly became a place for Indian diplomats and politicians - including Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi - to meet, eat and discuss post-independence rule in India.
