Coal Miner's Lung
Ken Donaldson, Emeritus Professor of respiratory toxicology, University of Edinburgh recently discovered a long-forgotten specimen in the collections of the Surgeons’ Halls Museums in Edinburgh and has pieced together its remarkable history.
The image is of a specimen showing how the inhalation of coal dust affected the miner’s lungs.
