Pay for Chinese fried chicken with your face
KFC and Alipay - the financial partner of the online marketplace, Alibaba - have begun trialling technology that allows customers to pay for fast food using facial recognition.
It's becoming common in China to identify people via facial recognition, but this is the first time that consumers have been able to use the technology to pay for goods.
James Menendez asked Yuan Yang, the FT's China economics and technology correspondent, for more details.
