Dan Damon talked to Mayor Jesse Arreguin, a self-described liberal Democrat, who wants the University of Berkeley - long seen as the epicentre for the free speech movement in the USA - to cancel its upcoming Free Speech Week. He says it is too dangerous to allow it to go ahead, given the current divisions in American society and recent examples of intimidation and violence by both those on the right and the left.
