Why I took a baseball bat to Charlottesville counter-protests
Memorials are being held in Charlottesville, the US city which saw a white nationalist rally end in the death of anti-racism protester Heather Heyer. President Trump continues to face criticism for his response to the violence, in which he said both sides carried some of the blame.
Mr Trump suggested that there were violent elements among both sides and that counter-protestors had been seen "charging with clubs" at the white nationalists.
Candice Maupin attended the rally with her two daughters to protest against the alt-right. She explains why they took a baseball bat (know in the family as 'The Regulator').
