The Native American people who invented lacrosse
The native North American people, the Haudenosaunee, invented lacrosse. And this month, the women's national team travelled to England on their Haudenosaunee passports to compete in the Lacrosse World Cup. They鈥檝e tried to that before and were rejected. So this felt like a triumph. And on top of that, says team manager Tia Schindler, the team played well. For the Haudenosaunee, 'lacrosse is life'.
