Ramzan Kadyrov says there are no gays in Chechnya
The Chechen leader says there are no gay men in Chechnya - but if there are they should be deported to Canada. In his first response to allegations of torture of gays in his country, Mr Kadyrov said there was no detention and maltreatment of homosexual men because they did not exist there. He was speaking to HBO Sports, a US network, that had gone there to interview him about his use of mixed martial arts as a way of increasing his country's profile. Dan Damon spoke to David Scott from HBO Sports.
