'Social apartheid' in India claim
An Indian film director says he was a victim of 'social apartheid' after he was refused entry to a luxury mall because he was wearing a traditional garment known as a dhoti. Ashish Avikunthak says he was only allowed in when he proved he could speak English. Newsday's Rahul Tandon - outside the mall in Kolkata - described what a dhoti is.
