The 2007 Floods Ten Years On

The 2007 Floods Ten Years On - Paul Hudson hears what flood victims went through, how they coped and what the future holds in ever-increasing extremes of climate.

Unbelievable, terrifying, heartbreaking. Ten years ago, 27,000 people in our region lost homes and livelihoods when a month's rainfall fell in just 24 hours. As our climate, landscape and buildings change, Look North Weatherman Paul Hudson talks to people about what happened to them on that fateful night, 25 June 2007. He hears their stories and finds out whether it was forecast. How did communities react - and how will we cope when, not if, that much rain falls again.
