Why Japan’s young work themselves to death
Makoto Iwahashi from the campaign group Posse explains why young Japanese workers feel forced to work long hours of overtime. Death from overwork – called ‘karoshi’ in Japanese – is a recognised problem in Japan and there are concerns it’s on the rise.
