Flexitarians: is meat-eating dying out?
If you are one of those people who has chosen to eat less meat, perhaps only eating meat at the weekend, then you are one of a growing band of "flexitarians". Some are doing it to save money, others think it's a healthier diet and some feel uncomfortable about eating meat, but can't quite bring themselves to give up altogether. Winifred Robinson asks if it is part of a long term social trend away from eating meat, or just another fad.
