Missing people's finances

The Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017, which allows close relatives of missing people to run their financial affairs, received Royal Assent just before Parliament was dissolved ahead of the general election. What issues to people in this situation face and how will the new law help them when it comes into force?
