‘They Didn’t Think I Would Live’
In 1994 at Haydock Park, heading into the last hurdle, Declan Murphy and his horse misjudged their stride and fell. While on the ground another horse galloped over him, hit his head with it's hoof, shattering Declan's skull in twelve places. Speaking to Audrey Carville, Declan describes in forensic detail the hours and days that followed and his belief that a higher power saved him from death.
