Former basketball player Spencer Haywood, who won the 1980 NBA Championship with the LA Lakers, thinks the growth of the sport in Europe will lead to a new NBA league being introduced.

Haywood was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. The former Seattle Supersonic, New York Knick and La Laker changed the future of the sport, after he sued the NBA over the right to play in the league, without completing the mandatory rule of playing four years in college. The courts decision to rule in his favour and allow him to bypass college would pave the way for modern day players like Lebron James.
