Southampton defender Cedric Soares says he's "very proud" to be playing in the EFL Cup final and is determined to end the club's 40-year wait for a major trophy.

Southampton, who face Manchester United in Sunday's final at Wembley, and are aiming to win one of England's big four honours for the first time since they lifted the FA Cup back in 1976.

Victory would also cap a wonderful twelve months for Soares who helped Portugal win Euro 2016 in France.
