Dinosaur 'the size of an RAF jet' discovered by researchers from the south
Researchers from the University of Portsmouth and University of Southampton have discovered the remains of a flesh-eating dinosaur the size of an aeroplane.
The 70-million-year-old fossil of a Hatzegopteryx was unearthed in Romania.
The terrifying flying reptile is thought to be part of the pterosaur family.
It had a wingspan of between 33 to 39 feet and could swoop from the sky to catch prey.
Dr Mark Witton, from the University of Portsmouth tells Sasha Twining why the discovery is groundbreaking.
