75 years of Capitol Records
Capitol Records was founded in 1942, and for 75 years has been home to some of the greatest music the world has ever heard. From The Beach Boys to The Beatles, Sinatra to MC Hammer, Nat King Cole to Katy Perry, they have covered almost every genre. The Capitol Records Tower in Los Angeles is home to their extensive archives where thousands of images from music history are kept. Author Barney Hoskyns, and editor Reuel Golden had access to this archive to make 'TASCHEN's 75 Years of Capitol Records'. Reuel Golden spoke to Dan Damon about the mammoth task of choosing which images to use.
