"Something has to happen to Wokingham, and we don't have a problem with a shop part of the regeneration because Peach Street itself is not really fit for the twenty first century.

"The Rose Street car park shouldn't be going, it's one of the best used. Why are we making it more difficult for people to visit Wokingham?

"It's all on a bit of a knife-edge."
