Some are suggesting a workplace parking charge could solve congestion problems.

Rob White, Green Party Councillor:

"I think anyone that's tried to travel around Reading in rush-hour knows that it's just ridiculous...so the council need to do something.

"It would raise money that could be used to make public transport better.

"In Nottingham it has been a success, and it's definitely the sort of thing we should investigate in Reading.

"We need to join up the different bits of public transport so they can work together."
