Syrian refugee settled in High Wycombe
They were a normal family living a happy life in Damascus. Imad was a successful business man and his children were doing well at school. But, like for so many others, when the civil war started life changed immeasurably. Imad and has family had to leave their home and moved 5 times in two years. The children had to be home schooled and every day became a fight for survival. Imad fled to the UK intending to bring his family later. But he was delayed in Calais and spent over 2 months living on the steps of the main church in the town. Eventually he made it to England and with the help of a local charity, settled in High Wycombe.
