James Cracknell's motivational tunes
As Steve whittles down the shortlist for the Running Tracks World Cup, we hear which mid-90s big beats helped power the Olympic champion-turned-runner James Cracknell to victory.
James won two Olympic Golds in the Coxless Four at the 2000 and 2004 Games. He has six World Championship rowing titles and has undertaken a number of epic adventures, crossing oceans and continents, and running a sub-three London Marathon in 2015. He is now part of the Great West Run team, a 13.1 mile event in Exeter.
Buy, in his rowing days, it was the big beats of two mid-90s dance albums which helped power him through a grueling schedule: Prodigy's Music For The Jilted Generation and Leftfield's Leftism.
