When walking on the street is taking a risk
Garnette Cadogan is a writer from Kingston, Jamaica. He has always loved walking. But then he moved to New Orleans for university. And he learned that for a black man in the US, the simple act of going out can be laden with risk. He writes about this experience in an essay titled Walking While Black.
