Linford and Whit - How We Lived As Immigrants
Directed and Animated by Hannah Stolp-Joseph from Anglia Ruskin University, Illustration and Animation- year 2
Hannah says of her choice of Listening Project conversation between Linford and Whit:
"Linford and Whit have an important discussion about living as immigrants in England. This intriguing conversation about immigration and how the UK stacks up in Linford and Whit鈥檚 opinion opens a door to a very important, on-going conversation. As a new generation emerges new attitudes and challenges come with them and this conversation between two different generations reminded me of similar talks I鈥檝e had with my own grandparents. I chose to use shadowy figures to show the ever growing youth population and I associated them with orange, a colour just as bright and hopeful as this generation鈥檚 future. The animation follows the youth as they learn about their history, important political issues happening today and them starting to take action to improve their future."
