The former West Indies captain Chris Gayle - one of world cricket's best batsmen - has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in the sport; however, he's often been at the centre of controversy. Gayle was criticised for making 'inappropriate' comments towards an Australian female reporter during a live interview in Australia's Big Bash league.

Six months on from the event, Gayle has told Stumped he feels he has been treated with "double standards" by the Big Bash and believes he was used as "scapegoat" by the league he "helped to build".
